REPORTING TO: CONTRACTS MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
REGION: PRETORIA
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE EFFICIENT SUPERVISION DURING THE EXECUTION OF PROJECTS FROM PRE-ENGINEERING TO COMMISSIONING AND HANDOVER
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enforce health and safety regulations, as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993).
• Formulating Production Program – Control/Planning
• Achieving Targets and Ensuring that Budgeting Guidelines are met
• Scheduling work throughout Plant/Site
• Managing General Multi Projects
• Help develop, implement, and enforce quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Monitor manufacturing and installation processes, inspecting materials and finished products for defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
• Liaising with Contracts Manager daily on updates of the Project/s and
• Liaising with Clients
• Ordering of Raw Materials/Components for Plant Equipment and Labour Utilization
• Set Delivery Schedules
• Management of the Mechanical Teams
• Adherence to any other instruction as given by the Mechanical Contracts Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Matric or National Technical Certificate 3
• Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical (Trade Test)
• Automotive Industry Experience essential
• Knowledge of Boilermaking/Pipefitting/Welding Experience Required
• Valid Driver’s License Code 08
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Knowledge of OHSA Act
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years Supervisory and Management Experience
• Knowledge of Quality Control Plans
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Designs

DEPARTMENT: AUTOMATION DEPARTMENT
REGION: DURBAN, KWA-ZULU NATAL
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
THE INDIVIDUAL WILL BE REPSONSIBLE FOR DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE ON VARIOUS PLATFORMS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL VALUE TEAMWORK, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ABOVE ALL.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
• Software Development in accordance with the clients’ specifications
• Meet with Customer Onsite to discuss detailed Requirements
• Hardware Concept Design prior to implementation
• Documentation and Backup management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• National Diploma and/or N3 in Electrical Engineering will be advantageous

• PLC Programming Experience with Mitsubishi is essential

REPORTING TO: ENGINEERING MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
REGION: PORT ELIZABETH, EASTERN CAPE
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING THE ENGINEERING PROJECT TEAM WITH TENDERS/COSTING WITHIN THE ORGANISATION AND PROVIDE PROJECT SUPPORT TO OPERATIONS.
DURING THE LEANERSHIP THE CANDIDATE WILL GET EXPOSURE TO THE FOLLOWING AREAS WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT:
ESTIMATING
The candidate will:
- attend site meetings with clients, whereby he/she will be briefed on the scope of the project to be costed
- compile quotations for submission to Engineering Manager
- compile quotations with all relevant information and costing
- compile offer letters outlining the scope of work and other important clauses such as payment terms, ROE, delivery, exclusions, etc.
- submit quotations to clients within specified timeframe
- cost additional work executed on projects (variations)
ENGINEERING
The candidate will:
- provide engineering solutions to clients
- conceptualize solutions and provide cost of solution to clients (offer)
- create BOM and labour based on technical knowledge
- read and review electrical schematics
- schedule kick off meetings with operation managers and supervisors.
- Provide workshop and operation support
- compile project documentation
- implement BMS policies where required
PROJECT PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT
The candidate will:
- assist with preparation of detailed timing schedules and track project progress
- create BOM for equipment to be ordered
- ensure procurement of materials are withing budget
- assist to ensure manufacturing delivery dates are met
- follow up on tenders
DESIGN
The candidate will:
- issue / complete quality controls plans for operations team
- assist with the electrical design of projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- National Diploma or BTech in Electrical Engineering
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- 1 -2 years’ experience in the Automotive industry will be advantageous but not required
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
